There appears more and more theories and documentary videos about the event 9/11: it was probably orchestrated by the Government in advance.

The planes went into the Trade Towers like a hot knife through butter. Scientists, engineers and architects all know the planes would have bounced off the solid steel structure of the building without much of the plane entering the building itself. Science has also proven it is an impossibility for the planes to have gone the speed claimed in the videos.

The film, which has undergone several revisions, has been shown on many television stations but is primarily an Internet and DVD phenomenon. Its basic claims are that Flight 77 could not have accounted for the damage at the Pentagon, that the Twin Tower fires were insufficient to cause their collapse, and that cell phone calls from the hijacked airplanes would have been impossible at the time (Avery 2009).

It is impossible to quantify the number of people who subscribe to truther theories, but at least one poll taken five years after the attacks revealed that as many as one out of three Americans believed the U.S. government was either behind the attacks, or knew about them in advance and purposefully did nothing. That the truthers have gained sounding boards with popular athletes, celebrities, and at least one former governor, is a testament to their durability.
