Last year, Canadian Elisa Lam was in LA by herself at the infamous Hotel Cecil where dozens of murder cases have begun over the last century including ones as well known as Elizabeth Short (The Black Dahlia Murder) who was staying at the hotel at the time of her death.
Elisa Lam went missing and not too long after she went missing, she was found floating in the water reserve on the roof of Hotel Cecil. Guests were literally drinking and bathing in her drowned body, the water at times going black (disgusting, I know).
The murder is unsolved. Elisa had no drugs or alcohol in her system at the time of her death. Also, weirdly enough, the door to the roof had been locked and she would have had to climb the ladder to the reserve on the roof and jump in, forcing herself to drown if it was self inflicted. She was progressing her life and had no reason to end it.
Directly before her mysterious death, Elisa Lam was caught on an elevator security camera acting odd, seemingly hiding in the elevator which was not working as it should. The elevator door remained open as Elisa, visibly distraught, pressed the button for every floor. The door still did not close.
She then walked out of the elevator and began making weird hand gestures while appearing to be talking to someone who could not be seen. After doing these weird hand gestures and standing still staring at a wall in an extremely creepy manner, we can see her walk away. The elevator door then closes and starts going to all of the floors she had pressed on.

The Hotel Cecil has a notorious history, mostly negative, but it doesn’t deter tourists from wanting to see the creepy, old, beautiful building for themselves.
This story is not yet over and it may never be in our individual lifetimes. Every mystery is worth checking out and this mysterious building has gotten much more mysterious this past year. May justice be had and may Elisa Lam’s family get the proper information. Something’s not right about this story.

There are many theories to how Elisa died that span everything from hotel employees covering it up, to something supernatural victimizing or possessing her to even so theories claiming she was an “Illuminati sacrifice”! Whatever happened, seeing the video of her and realizing what happened to her and how hotel guests found out about her death from tap water is enough to make the hair on anyone’s neck stand up. This whole story is one giant question mark.
